How to use Product Pin — keeping your product consistent across every scene
Product Pin lets you lock a specific product into your generated imagery and keep it visually consistent across hundreds of different scenes, compositions, and contexts. This guide explains how to set it up and use it effectively.

What Product Pin is for
Generating lifestyle imagery for a physical product is one of the hardest use cases in AI image generation. Generic AI tools either distort the product, change its appearance between generations, or produce outputs where the product looks obviously AI-generated. Product Pin solves this by anchoring your specific product into every generation.
Product Pin use cases: — E-commerce lifestyle photography featuring real products — Campaign imagery for physical products across multiple scenes — Seasonal adaptations of product imagery (same product, different context) — Multi-market product visualisation with locally relevant environments — Packaging and label mockups in styled environments
How to create a Product Pin
Open your Workspace and navigate to the Pins section
Click New Pin and select Product Pin
Upload a clean image of your product — ideally against a plain background, well-lit, at high resolution
Give your Product Pin a name
Click Create Pin — your product is now ready to be locked into generations
How to generate with Product Pin
Open the generation studio
Write your scene prompt describing the environment and context you want the product to appear in
In the Pins panel, select your Product Pin
Click Generate
Mianki AI will generate four variations of the scene with your product accurately placed and maintained within it. The product's appearance — its shape, colour, texture, and key details — will remain consistent across all four variations.
Tips for better Product Pin results
Upload the cleanest possible product image A product photographed against a white or very light plain background with consistent, diffused lighting will produce significantly better Pin results than a product photographed in a complex environment. The cleaner the product isolation, the more accurately the model can maintain it across scenes.
Be specific about product placement in your prompt Tell the model where in the scene you want the product to appear. "The bottle placed on the left side of the marble table" will produce more accurate placement than a prompt that does not mention position.
Match the lighting in your scene prompt to your product image If your product image has warm lighting and your scene prompt describes cold blue studio light, the product will look inconsistently lit in the output. Match the lighting quality in your prompt to the lighting of your product reference image.
Use inpainting to refine product placement after generation If the product placement is close but not quite right, use inpainting to adjust the specific area around the product without regenerating the entire scene.
